Big Wave Surfing

Big wave surfing is a highly skilled discipline within the sport of surfing, which involves paddling into or being towed into waves that are at least 20 feet (6.2 m) high, using specialized surfboards known as "guns" or towboards. The size of the board required to successfully surf these waves varies depending on the size of the wave and the technique employed by the surfer to reach it.
